Survey Overview
The 2009 version of CBI’s National Banking Survey is now closed. The 2010 version of the Survey will be activated in 2010. For information on CBI’s 2009 Survey of Canadian Bank Pricing click on 2009 Survey Report.
Before you start the CBI National Banking Survey, here is some information you should find helpful. We’ve organized it in a FAQ (question and answer) format.

| Who should do the CBI National Banking Survey? |
The survey should be completed by an executive who is responsible for (or who is directed by someone who is responsible for) the management of your company’s banking relationship. |
| How long does the survey take? |
Less than half an hour. |
| What documents should I have on hand before I start the survey? |
To complete the survey in the anticipated half hour, you will need the following (as applicable) documents:
- Credit facility agreement
- Credit rating
- Interest compensation agreement
- Service charge agreement
- Term debt sheet
- Monthly credit card (Visa, MC, American Express) invoices
- Monthly bank service charge analysis

| Are there any calculations required? |
No. The survey is entirely “point and click” |
| What does the survey cover? |
The survey is divided into ten sections:
- Contact Information
- Company Profile
- Bank Credit Facility Charges
- Interest Compensation
- Foreign Exchange
- Current Account Service Charges
- Electronic Fund Transfers
- Cash Management
- Credit/Debit Card Charges
- Banking Relationship Assessment

| What happens if questions or sections are not applicable? |
The survey qualifies all questions and automatically skips those that don’t apply. |
| What happens if I can’t complete the survey in a single sitting? |
Your responses are automatically saved on a completed section basis. You can return to a partially completed survey. |
| How do I return to a partially completed survey? |
As part of the survey process, you create a password. You use this password to return to an incomplete survey. |
| What happens if I lose my password? |
The survey includes a reminder function that lets you change your password if you forget it. |
| When will CBI’s survey reports be published? |
May 2009. |
| Can I print my survey results? |
Yes. The print function is at the end of the survey. |
