Getting Started
There are four things you need to know about this web site.
To begin with, we’d like to hear from you – whether it’s to talk about a bank negotiating experience you’ve had or to listen to any comments about the site that you would like to share. To contact CBI, click Talk to Us. The contact window also gives you the opportunity to send a “check-it-out” e-mail to a colleague that you think would be interested in the site.
Second, this is a different kind of web site. We’ve kept the graphics and fluff to a minimum. Inside you’ll find analysis and commentary that isn’t in any text book or seminar. Five minutes spent at the Negotiating Bank Fees menu tab will change the way you think about bank fee negotiations.
Third, each “content” page includes an Executive Summary so you can take your time or cut to the chase. This site covers a lot of ground. Expecting you to read everything is above and beyond the call-of-duty.
Fourth, the 2009 Survey of Canadian Bank Pricing is now available. It’s the tool you need to level bank “paying” fields. Click on 2009 Survey Report for more information on what the Report covers and how to purchase it.
Finally, the 2009 version of CBI’s National Banking Survey is now closed. The 2010 version of the Survey will be activated in January 2010. We urge all financial executives to make the time to complete the 2010 Survey. The more companies that take the survey, the more robust and useful the survey results. When it comes to managing bank pricing, survey participation is a big part of the difference between being part of the problem and part of the solution.
What’s in all this for you? We’ve stressed the cost savings angle. There’s also peace of mind. The next time you’re asked about managing banking costs you’ll be able to answer “It’s under control” with confidence.
So welcome aboard and enjoy your visit. We hope you’ll find your time spent with us interesting, informative, and very profitable.
