Meet Denis Proulx
To make your “pointing and clicking” experience more enjoyable, CBI has salted the Banking Intelligence Survey with cartoons. There are no irritating pop-ups. The cartoons are embedded in the survey.
They're also set up so you can turn them off if you want. And don’t worry about numbers. We made sure there aren’t so many cartoons they’re disruptive. There are just enough to give you a chuckle when you need it most.
Who is our cartoonist? CBI is a Canadian venture so we thought it would be appropriate to showcase a gifted Canadian. We’re delighted to introduce the talented Denis Proulx.
Denis is an accomplished cartoonist and illustrator. He has travelled across Canada and, earlier in his career, called Vancouver and Yellowknife home. These days he hails from Low, Quebec, a rustic village north of Ottawa. Most days Denis says he sees more deer than people.
Denis works from a creative studio he calls his Shangri-La. It’s here, away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, that you’ll find him. His portfolio includes cartoons, illustrations for book covers and children’s books, caricatures, and much more. You can check Denis out at www.shangrila-studio.com. The Ticking Croc is a sample of his handiwork.
From the outset CBI liked Denis’ cartoons. We saw in them a well developed sense of the absurd. His characters and tag lines sneak up on you. And they make you smile. We think they’re the perfect antidote for those “point & click” survey blues.
We hope you will enjoy Denis as much as we do.
